Ad rates and deadlines

Online-only ads

Online-only ads will only appear on nvdaily.com -- they will not appear in the print edition of the Daily.

Free days

Submit your online-only ad before 4 p.m. Monday - Friday and your ad will go online the day before it is scheduled to run for free.

Ads submitted after 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday will be processed the next day.

Weekends

Online-only ads submitted after 4 p.m. Friday will not be processed until Monday morning. Ads scheduled to start on a Saturday or Sunday must be submitted before 4 p.m. Friday.

Classified liner rates

We charge per word. Ads that have slashes (/) or words that are merged together will not be accepted.

1 day: 45¢ per word
2 days: 35¢ per word
3-5 days: 27¢ per word
6 or more days: 25¢ per word
30 days with 30 or more words: 16¢ per word
30 days with 15-29 words: 18¢ per word
30 days with 10-14 words: 19¢ per word

Online-only enhancements

Bold: 25¢ per word per day
Italics: 25¢ per word per day
Photos (up to 4): $1 per photo per day. Photos can be no larger than 200 pixels wide or 200 pixels deep

Print liner ads

Classified liner ads that run in the print edition of the Daily will also run online. Ad rates are the same as the online-only rates above.

Print liner ad deadlines

10 a.m. day before publication in the Northern Virginia Daily
2 p.m. Friday for publication in Monday's Northern Virginia Daily

Ad content, technical issues

The Daily retains the discretion to reject or revise any advertisement due to technical issues. The Daily also reserves the right to edit, revise or reject any advertising based on content. Your ad will be reviewed before it is placed online.
